Elina Katkova
Elina Katkova strives to capture the texture, feeling and emotions of the living world around her through her art. Capturing this living world is simultaneously just within, and just outside of our grasp. Believing all of life’s experiences have an energy that accompanies them, Elina aims to convey this energy through her art. To represent a single moment in time, in a timeless way, is the motivation that drives her creatively. She acknowledges that we see the world as individuals, yet we experience it as a collective. She creates art that people can see themselves in; whether that is through shared experiences, a connection to colour or identifiable emotions. To create something that is so intensely personal, yet can be appreciated by many is the greatest accomplishment of an artist.
